What We Ask of Volunteers

  • Contribute 4-5 hours of work each day (depending on the season and the number of volunteers on site).
  • Tasks vary based on need, but volunteers often contribute additional time willingly when there’s more work.
  • Be part of our community and help with daily upkeep of the site.

The rest of your time is yours to explore nearby villages, connect with the locals, and enjoy the stunning natural surroundings.

     Primary Activity: Teaching

Our main afternoon activity is teaching English, providing free language classes to local students and community members to open up opportunities for them.

  • Volunteers assist with classroom activities, mentoring students, and sometimes lesson planning.
  • You’ll also support our Toastmasters Club at Sae Lao, held every Friday at Nasom School. Leading up to the event, you’ll mentor students to prepare speeches, evaluate presentations, and take roles during the session.

Daily Activities

In addition to teaching, volunteers participate in tasks that develop the project and strengthen our community.

  • Every Monday morning, we gather to assign tasks for the week, including:
    • Social Media Management
    • Gardening
    • Cleaning
    • Communication Support (e.g., website updates)
    • Maintenance Work

We work in small groups on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM to complete these tasks.

Your ideas and initiatives that positively impact the project are highly encouraged and appreciated!
