English classes are our main and first activities and stage of our educational programs. We’re welcome volunteers to experience to teach English for children and adult start from up 9 years old in very weekdays in 17:00 – 19:00 PM.

10:00am – Education Orientation for new volunteers about the curriculum/schools plus teaching colleague/classroom allocation (in the office)
Tip: find your teaching colleagues as soon as possible!
11:00am – Discussion on teaching, sharing ideas and teaching methods at the restaurant – ALL volunteers/teachers to attend and support the new volunteers.
try to complete printing or photocopying at an earlier time of the day. We have limited office equipment and queues for a laptop/printer are stressful. Alternatively, avoid printing and use the class whiteboard, a marker and your imagination!
Toastmaster _ Public speaking program, to enhance communication and presentation skills … .where is located in our community classroom.
“Toastmasters International” is a nonprofit group from the USA that helps people – globally – to improve their public-speaking skills, communication and confidence. We have our own Toastmaster Club at Sae Lao and every Friday we gather at Nasom School for this event. Through the week leading up to the event, five (sometimes more) students prepare a speech about a certain topic – together with a teacher/mentor – to present in front of the volunteers, other students, guests and evaluators.
Community classroom program: improving, building and renovating new facilitated and proper equipment and classroom learning in each school, adding to a small library zone and better learning space.
The IT initiatives program is to enhance and improve our older students and our trainee team in IT skills, and work skills that request work through laptops…
Scholarship program has successfully supported nine students through their first and second years of university, covering the costs of tuition and living expenses. After COVID, we are currently supporting one student who is studying in college.
We have hired external consultant professionals such as Strategy, Finance and accounting, and IT companies to train our team and staff here…..

There are many bright, eager students, who often travel far after school to attend the classes. Rain or shine, we always have some enthusiastic and committed students. Some of these young adults would love to continue studying after high school, but many cannot afford the University fees, cost of living or the cost of applying for University.
Since 2015, our scholarship program has successfully supported nine students thus far through their first and second year of university, covering the costs of tuition and living expenses.
SAE LAO assists these students with all the support we can give. However, as a grass roots nonprofit, we have limited resources to maintain the program every year. In order to provide financial support for these students to make it through all of the costs of their higher education journeys.
2015 saw our first IT classes and since then IT is a part of our upper level English classes.
Many people in Lao have never turned on a computer before and in the modern workforce, computer knowledge is becoming increasingly valuable, as well as giving people access to a much wider range of information and resources for learning.
From English level 3 through English level 5, the students get an introduction to using the computer, internet and how to create and use documents.
